Spooktacular Drive Thru Event!

Your SEPAC has once again come through, even during a pandemic!  Just when you assumed there would be no Trick or Trunk event, they deliver the Spooktacular Drive Thru Event.  See you there!

DESE Back To School Letter

Good Evening, Georgetown Community,

We have a week of school, albeit remote school, under our belt.  I know it’s not the same as when teachers get to see their students in person, but all in all, our teachers have truly stepped up to this new challenge, and have provided learning in a much more supportive way than they were able to do in the spring.  A huge thank you to our team of incredible educators.  And a hug thank you to all of you who are spending your days support this learning at home, and providing the guidance, time, and resources that your kids need to be educated successfully.  Kudos to all!

By now, all parents of special education students should have been contacted by their child/ren’s case manager to get your input regarding the remote learning plan.  I hope this process has proven to be a positive experience, and that you all feel like more of a part of the process.

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education provided all Directors with a letter today to send to families.  It is dated September 3rd, but I assure you, we all received it today.  Please read it at your letter, as it is attached to this post, but you should find that Georgetown has already done what is outlined in the letter.  As always, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding the letter.

I so look forward to seeing all students in our buildings beginning October 1st.  Thank you all for your understanding and flexibility during these challenging times.

Respectfully and Sincerely,
