December 2016

Dear Georgetown Community:

It was such a privilege to be able to present information about the special education process to our prestigious school committee last night.  Our teachers work diligently each day to ensure that students get the supports needed to be successful.  They do this because they truly care about your kids.  I am so fortunate to have had such support last night from some of the staff, including Katelin Kennedy, Jennifer Bisono, and Meghan Kelley.  I also felt the support from our SEPAC, who had strong representation at the meeting.  I have truly appreciated their dedication, engagement, and involvement.

Please follow the link to view the presentation at your leisure. My hope is that it will give parents a better understanding of how their child can receive supports and interventions, and the special education process.

Lastly, I truly hope that you are all able to find peace during this holiday season.  I wish you all the best of times, and the happiest of new years.  I so much look forward to a new calendar year at Georgetown Public Schools.

Sincerely and Respectfully,

Jack Tiano
