Wellness Policy

Our district is committed to fostering a healthy school community which enables our students to succeed and our staff to thrive. To further the district wellness goals, we have convened a Health and Wellness Advisory Committee which meets throughout the school year to address health and wellness concerns in the district, plan wellness events and provide guidance on focus areas for the district.

Our Health and Wellness Advisory Committee is Co-Chaired by Mary Beth Doherty, RN, MSN -School Nurse: GMHS, and Heather Torrey, MS, RD, SNS-Director of Food Services. If you are interested in helping cultivate a healthy school community and would like to participate in our Committee meetings or wellness events, please email us!

We are currently in the process of revising our District Wellness Policy and are beginning these efforts by focusing on the Food Policies in our schools. Stay tuned for more updates.
