Principal Lucia and Collin MacDonald recorded a presentation that covers similar material as the parent information night that was held at GMHS. For those who were unable to attend, this video gives an overview of why Georgetown is moving forward with a 1:1 initiative, the preparations the school has taken, and specifics on the partnership with parents to roll out the initiative.
Sandra Schwarzkopf, one of GMHS’ wonderful Social Studies teachers, has been piloting a 1:1 iPad initiative in one of her courses. This pilot program has proved tremendously valuable in understanding how to prepare for a school wide program, what works best, what has been challenging, and how to get the most out of our students using technology. Below is a link to a report from Ms. Schwarzkopf detailing her pilot course.
Thank you to all the parents and community members who attending to 1:1 iPad Information Night. The slideshow that was presented at the meeting can the found HERE.
