Security Implementation Timeline

As you know we are planning to make some security upgrades to our schools over the summer. In case you want to follow progress on this work, you can visit the security updates tab on the front page of our website. I have included the implementation plan and the timeline in this post for your information.

I want to thank the voters of Georgetown for appropriating funds so that this work can be completed and our maintenance staff for completing much of the work! This will go a long way toward keeping our staff and students safe so we are grateful for your support.

In case you didn’t know, there is a Safety Task Force  that is made up of parents, security and public safety officials, that is meeting to  review policies and guidelines  and to design a communications plan in case of emergencies. Over the summer, work will be done in order to complete these projects by the opening of the 2018-2019 school year.
