Newburyport to Host Parent Workshop on Vaping – Everyone Invited

We are very lucky to work on the North Shore where districts get together to share ideas and programs.   We are often trying to do the same things and when we pool our resources we can offer more for everyone.  As you may be aware, vaping is becoming a challenge in schools and it is an issue that  educators and parents we should know more about.

The Newburyport Public Schools will be offering a parent workshop on vaping , e-cigarettes and today’s tobacco products and they are inviting parents and educators from local towns to join them on Monday, February 12 at 6:00PM at the Nock School library.  Diane Knight, Director of Northeast Tobacco Free Community Partnership, will be the featured speaker to help parents learn about the new tobacco products: what are they, how are they used, and what are some of the health concerns.  I would encourage all parents and guardians to learn about these products and to have frequent, honest conversations about the health effects with your children.

Thank you Newburyport for including all of us in the region. It is an important topic and nothing is more important than the safety and well -being of our children.
