Crossing Guard Needed for the Schools

Georgetown Police Chief Donald Cudmore and Sergeant James Rodden are in charge of the crossing guards for the town.  They do an excellent job of hiring, training and assigning the guards to the school locations and we are very grateful for their diligence and commitment to ensuring the safety of our students and families before and after school.

The Chief recently informed me that one of our long time crossing guards retired from his post. I want to thank Ken Woodbury for his many years of dedicated service manning the Penn Brook post. Ken was always pleasant and cared about the kids.  He will definitely be missed.

We are looking for a crossing guard who is available for 1.5 hours in the morning and 1.5 hours in the afternoon. The pay is $13/hour and if you are interested or know anyone who might be interested, please contact Chief Cudmore at the Georgetown Police Department at 978-352-5700. He will be able to provide you with the exact times and responsibilities of the position. Currently, they are moving the current crossing guards around to cover the three schools as best he can but he is anxious to return to full force by hiring a new crossing guard as soon as possible.

Pass the word around please  and thanks for your help.
