Annual Georgetown Education Foundation Gala- Save the Date!

Every year the Georgetown Education Foundation holds a Gala to raise money for the schools and all proceeds go directly into providing expanded opportunities in the areas of  science, technology, the arts, and innovative teaching techniques for students of all aspirations and abilities.  The GEF , along with other parent run groups in town, has raised significant amounts of money since it was established in the early 1990s so that our teachers and students can have educational opportunities that would not be possible in the district’s budget.  We are so grateful for their partnership!  Check out their website to get more information about the GEF and how you might get involved with this wonderful organization! http://www.gef-kids.com/ourevents/2018-gef-gala/

The GEF has recently announced their plans for this year’s Gala and I hope you will come out to support our schools and have a night of  fun.  This is a casual event with a relaxed vibe so there is no pressure to dress up unless you want to do so.  I am sure it will be a special night of music, dancing, in an amazing new venue!  This year the event will be held on Friday, May 4th in Topsfield at the  Peirce Farm at Witch Hill from 7-11 PM.

One of the unique and special parts of the evening is always the awarding of the Golden Apple  Award to a deserving teacher and the Partner in Education Award to a  member of the community who has gone above and beyond to support education in this community.

Advance tickets are available online at www.gef-kids.com

Hope to see you at the Gala on Friday, May 4th. We are grateful for your support!
